Meet the Core Toons!

Happy launch day 🚀 and thanks for starting your week with Core Toons! We’ve been hard at work gathering up comic strips to make sure we can reliably send you funny, think-y comics for your K-5 kids each and every week of the school year. We had SO MUCH FUN making these comics and would love to know what you think, so please heart, comment, ask, suggest, and let us know!

For Early Worms (new readers, language learners, and early elementary comics fans):

(Click title to read)👉 COMICS with FELIX by Sarah Giles. Includes a challenge for students to make a short comic of their own.

Colorful comic for kids with 4 panels: 1st panel has title "Comics with Felix". There is a picture of a black cat with a white chin. Near his mouth is a speech bubble that says "That's me!". GALACTICATS by Ken Rolston, including questions about our solar system, plus there’s an English version and a French translation!

Catapulted across the galaxy in an experiment gone wrong, the GalactiCATs search for a way home, exploring each new system they come across.

NATURE IS STRANGE THO by SJ Winkler includes a video showing how this comic was made!

Single panel-comics highlighting weird and wonderful facts about unusual animals.

WeatherWise by Geoff & Ashlee, husband-wife, author/illustrator team - scientists by education with a creative side!

Chloe and Corey stand together holding their snow sleds. Chloe exclaims, “It's true!” Corey responds, “No way!” Chloe holds up a finger, “Yep! Each one is totally unique.” Corey questions, “But how?” They sit down on their sleds at the top of a hill. Corey says, “They all look like white dots to me.” Chloe responds, “Well, you can't see it with only your eyes.” Chloe and Corey start down the hill on their sleds. Chloe explains, “Each snowflake...” And they are a little further down the hill, “... takes a different path down...” BUMP Corey hits a bump and is taken to the icy part of the hill. FWOOOOSH Corey speeds down the slick part of the hill out of control. Chloe continues explaining, “...experiences different weather conditions...” They get to the bottom of the hill. SKIIIID Chloe is smiling and had a blast! Corey is shivering with icicles hanging off his hair. Chloe says, “So, they look different when they land.” Chloe blows a snowflake toward Cory as he shivers dramatically. Chloe picks up her sled and starts back up the hill, as she shouts, “Again!” Corey falls backward into the snow with a big KERPLUNK. — Bite sized weather facts in an adorable package!
